What I did with left over boiled Karamani?

After Karadaiyan Nombu I add around 1/2 cup of boiled Karamani.Instead of making Uppu Adai or Vella Adai again I tried making like Channa or Rajma.I also had grated carrot in the fridge so added to it.Again absolutely oil free.Yummy it was

Ingredients

  • Boiled Karamani - 1/2 cup (Soak Karamani for 4 hours.Discard the water.Slightly roast it and boil it in pressure cooker for 3 whistles)
  • Tomato - 3 (finely chopped)
  • Onion - 1 (Nicely chopped)
  • Garam Masala - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Chilly Powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Grated Carrot - 1/2 cup
  • Salt - 1 Teaspoon
  • Kasuri Methi - About 1 Teaspoon
  • Coriander Leaves - To Garnish
Method
  • Boil Karamani as explained above
  • In a mixer grind Tomato and Onion into a thick paste. You may add little water.
  • Transfer this paste into a Kadai and add Garam Masala and Chilly Powder.Boil till the raw smell diffuses
  • Add Grated Carrot and Boiled Karamani.Mix well
  • After 2 minutes add Salt.
  • Add Kasuri Methi and mix well
  • Finally garnish with chopped coriander leaves
  • This goes well with Rotis
