Pineapple Thogayal

Got this recipe from another Cookery Show in Jaya TV and Ofcourse I modified a bit.Can be used as side dish for Idly, Dosa and Adai


Ingredients
  • Finely chopped pineapple - 2 cups
  • Oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Channa Dhal - 1 tablespoon
  • Ura dhal - 1 tablespoon
  • Ginger - 1 inch
  • Red chillies - 2
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Jaggery - 1 small piece (optional)

Method
  • Heat oil in a kaai and splutter mustard seeds
  • Now fry red chillies followed by channa and urad dhalls
  • Saute ginger now.Take out these fried items
  • Switch off the stove and slightly saute pineapple in the kadai.Add salt and mix well
  • Now cool these items and grind it in a mixer with jaggery.Do not add water while grinding
Tangy Pineapple Thogayal is ready.Serve with Idly. Dosa
