Bajji Maavu / Bajji Batter

This is a common version of Bajji Maavu preparation.Any bajji can be prepared using this batter

Ingredients
Part 1 - Flours
  • Rice Flour - 1 cup
  • Besan / Kadalai maavu - 1/2 cup
  • Maida / All Purpose flour - 1/2 cup
  • Orange food colour - a pinch (optional)
Part 2
  • Chilly Powder - 2 teaspoons
  • Hing - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Turmeric - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt - 11/2 teaspoons
  • Baking soda - a pinch
  • Curd - 1 ladle
Method
  • Take all the mentioned flours in a bowl (part 1)
  • Now add the items given in Part 2 (except curd)
  • Now add curd and mix well
  • Add water little by little to adjust to dosa batter consistency ie dropping consistency

Now "Bajji Maavu" is ready

Note
Make sure to add only a pinch of Baking Soda otherwise bajji will be scattered in oil
